HAMMERSMITH GROVE
FACT
We transformed an underutilised Hammersmith reception into a vibrant social hub by turning its fixed, bold red-and-orange walls from a constraint into a centerpiece. Rather than masking the intense palette, we curated a cohesive 1970s retro-futuristic aeshetic inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey, allowing the achitecture to set a deliberate, cinematic tone. We developed a comprehensive space plan that divided the large area into distinct zones to serve different user needs and blend relaxation with productivity.
The collaborative area features seamless power intergration and library-style task lighting, blending utility with academic elegance. In the relexation zones, we selected plush seating with rounded silhouettes in rich velvet and chrome - softenig the environment while echoing the era’s sci-fi curves. Sculptural statement lamps anchor the theme casting an ambient glow that invites tenants to linger in a space that feels both sophosticated and playful nostalgic.
